Finding fun things to do during the Christmas season is easy. The hard part is actually remembering to do them all! I know I always make SO MANY plans and then usually only end up doing a handful of them. So this year I am doing 25 days of Christmas! No, not like the Free Form movie marathon. Well, kind of, there are movies! But with Christmas family activities too. In this series, you will find 25 days of an activity for the whole family, something to do with your spouse, a Christmas movie, a holiday recipe, and a random act of kindness.
Be sure to check in every day on the Living Life As A Wife Facebook Page to get your daily dose of Christmas! And get a FREE printable Christmas Bucket List from the Resource Library!
25 Days of Christmas Family Activities Day: 14
Christmas Family Activity
Now that December is really in full swing and Christmas is only 11 days away, it’s time to admire some decorations. Drive around town looking at Christmas lights after dark. Put some hot chocolate in a travel mug and just enjoy the view. You can even bring some notes with you and leave a note in a mailbox or on a door of your favorite house in the neighborhood. “Congratulations! Our family LOVES your Christmas decorations. Thanks for putting a smile on our faces!” will go a long way for a lot of people.
Christmas Couple Activity
After the kids go to bed tonight take some time together to hang up your Christmas stockings. Talk about your favorite Christmas memory and remember how incredible the holiday can be. Then do your best to give your kids incredible memories for when they are adults.
Share this with yoru kids so they can learn about what Christmas is and enjoy some fun music.
Did you know that Tony the Tiger (Thurl Arthur Ravenscroft) sings “You’re a Mean One, Mr. Grinch”? I learned that a few years ago and thought it was pretty cool. Another fun fact, he was not credited in the original film! They added his name later after realizing their mistake.
Enjoy some delicious white chocolate popcorn from Kudos Kitchen by Rene today! My favorite thing about this recipe is that she tells you how to do it with pre-popped corn OR kernels! That way, you can do whatever works with what you already have! Make a BIG bowl and enjoy it while you watch The Grinch!
Since you are already going out to look at Christmas lights, take some old (gently used) toys that no one plays with anymore and donate them. Someone will be able to have a nice Christmas because of your donation. Explain to your kids what you are doing and how incredible it is of them. If they understand the impact that their giving will have, they will be excited to do it,
Happy December 14th!
Can you believe that Christmas Eve is only TEN DAYS away?! When did that happen??
Keep enjoying this wonderful holiday season with your family!
