Finding fun things to do during the Christmas season is easy. The hard part is actually remembering to do them all! I know I always make SO MANY plans and then usually only end up doing a handful of them. So this year I am doing 25 days of Christmas! No, not like the Free Form movie marathon. Well, kind of, there are movies! But with Christmas family activities too. In this series, you will find 25 days of an activity for the whole family, something to do with your spouse, a Christmas movie, a holiday recipe, and a random act of kindness.
Be sure to check in every day on the Living Life As A Wife Facebook Page to get your daily dose of Christmas! And get a FREE printable Christmas Bucket List from the Resource Library!
25 Days of Christmas Family Activities Day: 23
Christmas Family Activity
The family activity for today is sledding. It will be SO much fun. In many areas, there are places that have sledding hills where they make snow so you can enjoy it even if you haven’t gotten any snow yet! Otherwise, just go to your local park, find a hill, and have FUN!
Don’t forget to dress in clothes that won’t get easily soaked so if you fall off (or have a snowball fight) because you don’t want anyone to get sick!
Christmas Couple Activity
After the kids go to bed, put away all of the electronics. Leave your phone in another room. Turn off the TV. Stay off your tablet and computer. Spend time together, with no distractions. Talk, sit together, anything that you want to do. But give one another your undivided attention.
This is a fun romantic comedy of the Christmas variety! With Reese Witherspoon and Vince Vaughn together and struggling to visit FAR more families for one holiday than is possible, you will get a laugh.
With both sets of parents being divorced, they are expected at four households for Christmas!
I don’t know about you, but I find trying to get to 2 households for Christmas to be complicated enough! I wouldn’t even know where to begin with four.
You can experiment with hot cocoa recipes, but have you ever made it from scratch? Get a recipe and mix in ideas with the homemade hot cocoa mix recipe from Dash of Jazz. I don’t know about you, but I have all the ingredients in my house right now!
Also, this makes a GREAT gift!
A great thing to give when you don’t have much extra in your budget is your time. Today, go visit a nursing home and just sit and talk with some of the residents. Many of them are very lonely and bored much of the time. One of the things they would appreciate the most is just someone to talk to and sit with. So spend an hour or so today making someone else happy.
Happy December 23rd!
Tomorrow is Christmas Eve! Can you believe it?? I hope you have everything you need!
