Finding fun things to do at Christmas time is easy to do. But it is hard to actually remember to do them all! I always make TONS of plans for the Christmas season and usually only end up doing a handful of them. So this year I am doing 25 days of Christmas! No, not like the Free Form movie marathon. Well, kind of, there are movies! But with Christmas family activities too. You will find 25 days of an activity for the whole family, something to do with your spouse, a Christmas movie, a holiday recipe, and a random act of kindness.
Be sure to check in every day on the Living Life As A Wife Facebook Page to get your daily dose of Christmas! And get a FREE printable Christmas Bucket List from the Resource Library!
25 Days of Christmas Family Activities: Day 8
Christmas Family Activity
This is one of my FAVORITE Christmas family activities! Get together and spend the day baking cookies. Make all one kind, or everyone’s favorites. Just make sure there is fun and enjoyment from everyone. And really make a whole day out of it! Mix the dough, bake the cookies. And the decorate them! I enjoy painting sugar cookies. Just have fun together. Anything else that happens is extra.
Be sure that you make extras for giving over the next few days!
Christmas Couple Activity
Today, after the kids go to bed, take some fun photos together. Dress up fancy or do it in your pajamas. Whatever your style is, HAVE FUN. Laugh and be silly. They don’t need to be anything fancy, just something to remember a fun night by even when it is years down the road.
This is a fun family-friendly movie that is great for everyone. Buddy was brought to the North Pole as a toddler and raised as an elf. But now, he (quite literally) doesn’t fit in. He wants to find his father and goes to New York City to do it.
He causes all kinds of issues in the city but he brings happiness and cheer to many in the city.
I am not specifically a Will Ferrell fan, but this is a good Christmas movie to watch with the kids. And it has humor for adults!
So settle in and eat some snacks and have a laugh watching Elf.
This cake pop recipe from Wanna Bite is very simple and has detailed instructions that make them very easy to follow. I highly recommend it if it is your first time making cake pops because you shouldn’t have too much confusion. And they taste super yummy!
This is going to be an easy one today. Just do a random act of kindness for someone that you come across. It can be holding a door open, buying someone’s lunch, or paying for the next person’s order. Whatever you come up with, don’t expect thanks for your efforts. Just do it because you want to.
Happy December 8th!
Wow this month is going by fast! Keep enjoying your time with your family today.
