Finding fun things to do at Christmas time is not difficult to do. The hard part is to actually remember to do them all! I always make SO MANY plans for the Christmas season and usually only end up doing a handful of them. So this year I am doing 25 days of Christmas! No, not like the Free Form movie marathon. Well, kind of, there are movies! But with Christmas family activities too. In this series, you will find 25 days of an activity for the whole family, something to do with your spouse, a Christmas movie, a holiday recipe, and a random act of kindness.
Be sure to check in every day on the Living Life As A Wife Facebook Page to get your daily dose of Christmas! And get a FREE printable Christmas Bucket List from the Resource Library!
25 DAYS OF CHRISTMAS FAMILY ACTIVITIES DAY: 11
Christmas Family Activity
Today, spend some time outside and do a classic winter activity together. Make snow angels! Don’t worry if you have no snow, this is an opportunity to get creative. I’ve seen people use packing peanuts or confetti inside for fake snow. You can also get Insta-Snow Powder and make your own snow!
Today is about getting outside and DOING something. So even if you don’t have snow get outside together for a little while. Go for a walk, play in your yard, something to get outdoors and be active some way.
Christmas Couple Activity
Carve out a little time together in the morning so that you can eat breakfast together. Even if it is just a couple of minutes and a banana, do it together. Take a minute to share what you are doing today. And wish each other a good day. Hug, and head on out! It doesn’t have to be anything fancy. But just a moment together with your attention on each other.
Disney’s a Christmas Carol
Watch this classic Christmas story that teaches a love for Christmas and what it is truly about. Here’s a hint, it’s NOT gifts! Follow Scrooge as he goes on a path of redemption and remembers that there is more to life than money. And even the least fortunate of us all can be happy if we allow ourselves to.
A beautiful retelling of Charles Dickens’ novel from Disney, makes this a great version for the whole family.
Try out these Gingerbread Whoopie Pies from Simply Stacie today! They are easy to make and a nice twist to a classic Christmas flavor. They will be ready in less than an hour and you probably have everything you need in your house. So make them up and enjoy!
Remember those cookies you made a couple days ago?? I hope you made A LOT! I told you to make extra right?? Today, make up a plate and take them off to give your coworkers a smile in the midst of all the busy-ness of this time of year. They will all thank you for the snack. And it takes almost no extra work since the cookies are already baked! That’s the best kind of giving!
Happy December 12th!
